TOPSOIL SHALL BE STRIPPED FROM ALL AREAS TO RECEIVE PAVING AND FROM WITHIN THE LIMITS OF PROPOSED STRUCTURES. TOPSOIL SHALL BE STRIPPED TO A DEPTH OF 6 INCHES. 6. AFTER STRIPPING TOPSOIL, THE SUBGRADE SHOULD BE PROOF-ROLLED WITH AN ADEQUATELY LOADED VEHICLE SUCH AS A FULLY LOADED TANDEM-AXLE DUMP TRUCK TO DETERMINE LOCATIONS OF ANY POCKETS OF UNSUITABLE MATERIAL. AREAS EXCESSIVELY DEFLECTING SHOULD BE DELINEATED. RECOMMENDATIONS FOR DRYING, AMENDING AND / OR REMOVAL OF ANY UNSUITABLE MATERIAL WITHIN THE PROPOSED PAVED AND/OR BUILDING AREAS WILL BE DETERMINED AT THE TIME OF CONSTRUCTION BY THE CONTRACTOR'S GEOTECHNlCAL TESTING REPRESENTATIVE. 7. WHEN PERFORMING GRADING OPERATIONS DURING PERIODS OF WET WEATHER, PROVIDE ADEQUATE DEWATERING, DRAINAGE AND GROUND WATER MANAGEMENT TO CONTROL MOISTURE OF SOILS 8. CONTRACTOR TO ENSURE POSITIVE DRAINAGE AWAY FROM PARKING LOT. GRASS SHALL NOT CREATE BARRIER FOR DRAINAGE FROM PARKING LOT TO ADJACENT WATERWAYS / DITCH 9. PROVIDE POSITIVE DRAINAGE WITHOUT PONDING, IN ALL AREAS, AFTER INSTALLATION, CONTRACTOR TO TEST FOR AND CORRECT, IF ANY, "BIRD BATH" CONDITIONS 10. ALL SPOT ELEVATIONS ARE TO FINISHED GRADE. 11. FINAL GRADES AT THE PROJECT BOUNDARY SHALL MATCH EXISTING ELEVATIONS UNLESS OTHERWISE SHOWN. 12. ALL GRADES AT BOUNDARY SHALL MEET EXISTING.
